As promised, part two of my North American Field Guide to Critique Partners. Today’s creature – the Rosus Glasseus.
North American Field Guide to Critique Partners
- Rosus Glasseus
- Rosus Glasseus is a fluffy biped who is well adapted to critiquing a variety of genres due to its easy-going, non-confrontational nature.
- The diet of the Rosus Glasseus consists solely of sunshine, which is then crapped out in the form of rainbows. A few sub-species, namely the Rosus Glasseus FishChippus and the Rosus Glasseus Coffeus, also find sustenance in newborn puppy fur and rain puddles. These sub-species are primarily found in the U.S. Pacific Northwest and U.K.
- Rosus Glasseus makes an excellent pet due to their ego-stroking abilities. Since the mere thought of telling someone that a comma is in the wrong spot causes them physical pain, however, many states have passed laws against their use as critique partners. Please check the local regulations in your area before adopting this creature.
I’m currently in the midst of NaNoWriMo (my first year!), but I’m going to do my best to have part three ready for next week. Assuming I don’t spontaniously combust from the 1k1h challenges, next week’s creature will be either Sandwichus Workshoperus or Angrius Authorus. If you want to buddy me at NaNoWriMo, I’m under A.M. Schilling. If you can’t find me in their search engine, feel free to send me your WriMo username in an email via my “About” page.
